About

I’m Dave Cameron and I’m a human who writes about work/life balance, personal productivity, user experience, and other random impressions of the world from my home in Ithaca, NY.

I have worked as a web strategist for over 20 years in higher education and government, focused on understanding and improving the human side of human-computer interaction, and the impact of technologies like augmented reality and artificial intelligence on teams and organizations. I also enjoy being an occasional conference presenter and keynote speaker on these subjects and others. You can learn more about my professional work on my LinkedIn page.

Random fact: in 2008 I created an acclaimed but impractical typeface called “Redacted” which you can download here via FontStruct. Somehow it’s still getting positive reviews more than 15 years later.

When I’m not working, I’m either reading, practicing slight-of-hand magic, or enjoying the local foods, wine, beer, coffee, and cocktails of one of the greatest local food regions in the country with my awesome wife, who prefers to remain anonymous.

You can also email me if that’s your thing. I’ll probably even reply 🙂
